Windows 10: pagefile is reduces performance greatly

Because memory leak in windows, you can't get rid of pagefile completely. There are some programs, which are suppose to deal with that. But on occasion i am maxed on ram, even i have 16GB RAM. And also some programs doesn't work without page file.
I have pagefile on hdd, but i am installing from another hdd on ssd, yet my disk where is pagefile got maxed to 100% usage. And my system was completely unresponsive. Turned off pagefile and it is okay. Pagefile is so annoying i can't stop using it completely, but having it on is pain in the ass.

It is so strange have 16 gb ram and my cpu and ram wasn't even maxed. So why the heck disk with pagefile gotmax out, from installing on ssd from another disk. And everything was unresponsive. Doesn't make any sense...

Clear Pagefile on Shutdown


I've been looking into clearing the pagefile, and I found the following steps at a somewhat dated webpage:

1. In the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
2. Set ClearPageFileAtShutdown to the REG_DWORD value of 1.
3. Restart Windows.

I'm just wondering whether those steps are still valid, and, if so, does clearing the pagefile work as advertised?

Re-located Pagefile, Extremely Laggy Word and Windows Aero Animations

Unfortunately Windows needs a local pagefile regardless of how much RAM you have to operate properly, I would suggest moving other less important files from your SSD to a different drive like documents, pictures and others.

Besides, you never really want to operate any SSD at close to over 90% capacity, as you greatly reduce their performance by doing so, especially in older SSD drives, try relocating every directory found mind the Users folder to another drive by going to each directory properties and manually changing their location.

Also, try uninstalling unnecessary programs from your C: drive.
