Windows 10: Paging file on a diskless network

Hey guys,So i operate a gaming lounge. I use a diskless system meaning that i have a server that has multiple storage files, then the gaming pcs do not have a storage device but rather operate on a windows Image that is stored on the server. To go more into details, the server has a windows SSD , a game drive NVME where all games are installed, 2 writeback drives, 1 SSD drive where the Image is stored and 1 SSD cache to help with gaming pc cache needs. The client pcs through the network windows from the Image drive and have access to the game drive in order to view and run games.Now i have be

Page File

Set minimum and maximum to a constant number as suggested by others, that will help reduce fragmentation on the drive coz of different page file sizing.

I'll be adding a small page on doing this in windows vista soon, since XP is the same with a step or two less, i assume people will figure it out.

 

Computers Vanished From File Explorer But Network Still Works

I agree with @Try3. I have tried every suggested method to fix Windows networking suggested on these forums. All at best only worked for a short time. The only things that helped was:

1. Batch file I suggested in an earlier post
2. Creating shortcuts to computers on my home network

Note these two things are not fixes but workaround. However, at least they help and have never failed. I have shortcuts set up for eight computers on my home network. I have created a folder on my desktop called My Network to hold the shortcuts. They have a mix of the following operating systems:

• Windows 10 - 4
• Windows 7 - 3
• Windows XP - 1
