  1. Painful Story with Microsoft: Xbox Beta

    Hey,

I would like to tell you guys my painful story with the new launcher and believe me it was really, really painful and frustrating...

It all began with "State of Decay 2" a neat game which just released on Steam.

However, I tried searching for a cheaper option as my friends didn't had enough money to buy this game.

So I ended up on the "Game Pass" for 1$ quite cheap compared to the 90$ normally for three copies,

but that was probably one of the worse decision I've ever made...

Luckily I could easily charge up my Microsoft Balance to 25$ as I had a old code lying in my desk.

Then I bought the Game Pass for myself and instantly tried buying it for my other two friends but there was the first problem...

You can't gift the Game Pass directly, you must give the person a code/or paypal.

After that I instantly went to the Microsoft Store to buy a Gift card for my friends.

Guess what, the minimum amount was 10$ with no configuration Seriously Microsoft? those scammer tactics are usually in mobile pay2win games but..???

However, I selected two 10$ gift cards and tried to buy them but it didn't allow me to use my Microsoft Balance.

Why wouldn't you allow your customer to use his saved money? Why is there no option to transfer Microsoft Balance into PayPal-Cash if you can't even buy a simple gift card with it? I'm basically forced to buy useless books and what-not.

Then I considered gifting the game to a friend with the remaining 24$ in my wallet.

But this ended up in a madness because the games are not instantly delivered to the friend.

No they have to redeem a code Guess that's one of your **** special features Microsoft

and guess what, the code is restricted to my ****cking country.

In times of globalisation where Microsoft takes a leading part, this should be considered as massive restriction to our freedom!

So basically I ended up with a useless code and I went to the Support German-Microsoft-Support

which was literally ****, talking to me for three hours while demanding information all the time but doing NOTHING.

They kept telling me they would be calling me back but it ended up in another madness.

I waited five hours and then called the US-Support which was much better and instantly refunded me the 24$

It took the germans with indian accents a entire day to call me back and wake me up at 8am just so I can tell them that it's already fixed.

I searched for another solution as I didn't want to pay 20$ over my PayPal for the two 10$ giftcards.

Then I realized that the US-Store actually has 1$ giftcards Seriously Microsoft?

Welp another problem accured as always, there was a problem when purchasing the code and Microsoft was urging me to talk to the official support again.

That's what I did and the first guy just left the chat when I was a little bit frustrated to the company Microsoft, calling them greedy I was really nice to the support. The second guy was much more helpful and really tried to solve my problem but couldn't do much because of Microsoft and their trash system.

    The support didn't know the problem either but I'm guessing it's region related because Microsoft tends to hang on your region ;

I forgot to mention, that the second supporter is gonna talk to the manager to find a solution but I really doubt that those "managers" are gonna do anything. The german-indian support called their manager too which simply asked for more information

I'm not here to complain about the people working at the customer-service

There are really nice and helpful Microsoft-Supporters but is it really neccessary to have a three hour long call only for a single ****cking refund? Or why would you leave a customer who is really frustrated? Again, I was not insulting anyone personally, only the Company

I only wanted to buy two copies for my friends as they couldn't afford it and I ended up wasting four days of my freetime which I will never get back.

    Thanks Microsoft for nothing...

Let's hope that all customers will realize that Microsoft is only interested in commercial success and not to get a community.

They even let their community work for them by replacing the german webchat with the "expert"-support by volunteer-gamers. saved salaries

Thanks for taking your time and reading this.

    Have a nice day ^^

    :)
