Windows 10: Paint Shop Pro 7.04 - Does it work in Windows 10?

I have a Windows 7 laptop and I was working with Paint Shop Pro 7.04 but the try and buy period has expired; I tried to buy the software but it is impossible because the product has been discontinued.

I can buy a new laptop which would be a Windows 10 but PREVIOUSLY I want to know if Paint Shop Pro 7.04 would work in the new computer.

I NEED TO FINISH A WORK THAT I WAS DOING.

Help me install a newer version of a program just to try it without uninstalling the original version?

I use an old version of JASC's Paint Shop Pro (v 6.0) that I had to use the Run compatibility troubleshooter & put it in Compatibility mode
in my latest Windows 10 computer. I got to love using this program after a decade of using it on Windows XP. I'm no artist by any stretch but I just use it to modify or combine photos taken on my smartphone or PrintScreens from the phone or my computer's
browser to use on Facebook.

Anyway, since I went through all of that hassle setting it up to run, I'd like to keep it installed on my PC even though it has a few little shortfalls, the main one being that Windows 10 can't use it to open a JPG photo, or any for that matter, just by double-clicking
on them in File Explorer and they can't be opened it I right click on a JPG that's an email attachment and choose OPEN with my Control Panel set to open most types of images using my old Paint Shop Pro.

Corel purchased Paint Shop Pro from JASC sometime in the past during the XP years so I wasn't ever able to just upgrade to a newer version that would work fully with Windows 10.

So, my Question is, can I just leave my old JASC Paint Shop Pro v 6.0 installed on my SSD where my Windows and all of my programs are and then download/install a newer version of either JASC or Corel Paint Shop Pro alongside it or maybe onto my HDD that
sits next to my SSD, that has all of my data on it?

I'd be doing this just temporarily in order to let me try different versions of Paint Shop Pro that I found available at

www.oldversion.com/windows/paint-shop-pro in order to see how they work doing the few things that I do all the time since I'm an admitted Facebookaholic.

Is Jasc Paint Shop Pro Version 7 compatible with Windows 10?

Does not work with windows 10 at all. I guess I lost my Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7

 

Yes it does. I use PSP7.04 on my windows 10 laptop.

If you are installing on a new computer, then you can run the trial version of Corel PaintShop Pro 7.04, but if you are considering of buying you might as well download the trial version of PaintShop Pro X9. PaintShop Pro: Photo Editing Software by Corel It has all the same features and some improvements.
