Windows 10: Paint Shop Pro 7: Images Won't Open in PSP fom File Explorer

Since the Windows 10 Spring update my Paint Shop Pro 7.04 (PSP7) has never worked right. Ive gone through every compatibility setting and they dont fix the following problem:

When I click on an image file in File Explorer (all my image extensions are set to open with PSP and it used to work ok) PSP opens but the image doesn't load in PSP. The only way for me to open up an image file in PSP is through the file menu in PSP (Open or Browse).

Any suggestions anyone? Ive searched a lot and no one else seems to have this problem. Its a bit baffling.

Corel Paint Shop Pro X3 Incompatible

Corel Paint Shop Pro X3 worked fine with Windows 7, and all other versions of the software right down to Psp 9 work in Windows 10, except this one. Anyone have a fix or suggestion?

Issues installing Paint Shop Pro X4 in Windows 10

I am having difficulties installing Paint Shop Pro X4. Paint Shop Pro X2 installed and runs just fine. Tried installing PSP X4 and it wouldn't. Can someone help me with my problem?

 

Is Jasc Paint Shop Pro Version 7 compatible with Windows 10?

I use "Jasc Paint Shop Pro Version 7" and yes, it works on Windows 10. The only thing that doesn't work for me on version 7 is the "Help" files. Each time I try to open those Help files, Windows will open up this web page:

I have NOT downloaded the "WinHlp32.exe" file because it doesn't state on Microsoft's website whether or not it's compatible with Windows "10." Perhaps someone else here can tell us whether that file will also work on Windows 10.
