Windows 10: Paint starts with error message

It's about Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.4890. Since 4.2.2025, several clients have experienced errors when calling App Paint. Error message is “This app cannot be opened”: Paint is in version 11.2411.471.0.Entry can be found in EventLog: Error AppModel-Runtime 8.“The app “Microsoft.Paint_11.2411.471.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe” was terminated due to a problem with the app binary file “\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Paint_11.2411.471.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\PaintApp\PerceptiveShell\NPUDetect.dll” with the error “0xC0000462”. Possible causes: The binary file is not signed,

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  Click on Start Menu
  
• 
  Type Paint
  
• 
  Right click on paint
  
• 
  Click on Pin to Start
  

Check if it bring back MS Paint to start menu.
