Windows 10: Paint will not open .EMF files over a certain size?

Discus and support Paint will not open .EMF files over a certain size? in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I'm trying to open a roughly 6k KB .EMF file on Paint but it won't open.     Paint will not open .EMF files over a certain size?


    I'm trying to open a roughly 6k KB .EMF file on Paint but it won't open. It displays the "This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported" note instead.

    opening emf files

    Hello Pinksocks12,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

    Windows 11 photo viewer (or windows 10) does not support emf files. Only paint can open emf files.

    I can't use windows photo viewer to open my emf files, it isn't in the list, and then if I select it via search it doesn't work

    MS Paint will not save in .emf format

    Not sure what the problem is, but I thought you could edit and save .emf files in MS Paint. I can open and edit no problem, but when I try to save, the default goes to .heic, and I can't get the .emf save option anywhere....
