Windows 10: Panasonic HD Writer AE 1.0 forHDC won't download to windows 10

I contacted Panasonic and they referred me back to Microsoft help. When I try to download this program from disk, I get the message that "this program is incompatible with W.10 Download is terminated. It is a new computer an does NOT have an original HD Writer program installed. my video camera is useless without it, as the file system Panasonic used is cued TO ONLY TRANSFER INTO THE COMNPUTER USING THIS PROGRAM. CAN ANYONE HELP?

Panasonic HD Writer AE 4.0

I'm running Panasonic software HD Writer AE 4.0 on Windows 10 and have done so for some years. A few weeks ago the preview function within the program ceased to show any video picture (only sound). No changes or updates were made to anything. I've been
in touch with Panasonic and Microsoft but still no joy. Any ideas?

WHEN I UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10 MY PANASONIC HD WRITER AE 3.0 WOULD NOT WORK AND WAS PUT INTO AND PUT INTO A REMOVED APP,S BOX I HAVE TRIED LOADING THE DISC AGAIN WITH NO SUCCESS ANY ADVICE PLEASE

I followed the link and carried out the recommendations (i.e. effectively ignoring the error messages) but as mentioned earlier I am no further forward.

Other than that I have only uninstalled and then reinstalled the software (also suggested by Panasonic).

Incidentally I have installed the software on the same computer but running under Windows XP and it appears to work fine but obviously I don't really want to continue using XP.
