Windows 10: Panasonic toughbooks and Win 10?

At this time I use CF-53 toughbooks for several reasons.



1. They fit the mobile rack in my truck

2. They have multiple in/out capabilities: CD drive important, multiple USB ports, standard Video port, HDMI port, and a good wifi card/circuit.

3. They are rugged. I have one 32 bit and one 64 bit machine.


So what brands and models of "laptops" should I be looking at for windows 10 operation?

Business-Rugged Durability and Quality

The Toughbook SX2 is designed to withstand a highly mobile work environment. Its magnesium alloy case and shock-mounted flex-connect hard drive allow it to handle up to a 30-inch drop to the base of the unit while operating, as well as a 12-inch drop from all other angles. Both the lid and base of the notebook are designed to withstand more than 220 lbs (100 kgf) of pressure, and the Toughbook SX2 also features LCD mounting protection.

Panasonic Toughbook, Wi-Fi and Win10

I have the Panasonic CF-52 laptop that has the wifi switch. When logging in from boot or sleep even though the Intel 6200 wifi card is on at the switch Win10 would show the wifi as off. This required turning the switch off and then back to on to get
the wifi up and running again. I tried the numerous items people have listed on the Internet for the general problem of wifi not coming on in Win10. However, these old Toughbook laptops came with a Panasonic Wireless Switch Utility. It can be found on the
Internet. This was the solution to my problem. Install in compatibility mode. I don't know what setting the utility is changing. I just know it works without any input except to install. It starts at boot in the background. At a minimum, the wifi switch
itself is not compatible with Win10.
