Windows 10: Parent approval for Chrome

Hi Microsoft Support,You need to immediately eliminate the "parent approval" for Google Chrome. This feature is clearly designed to prevent people from using Chrome. I do not see any reason why Microsoft Edge is always approved for children, but Chrome is not. The maximum permitted time of 6 hours is completely ridiculous. Nobody has the time to re-approve their children's Chrome usage every day. If this is not an antitrust practice, I don't know what it is.A frustrating parent

Parental approval for apps

Recently, I have been denied app downloads because I have to get parental approval. My wife and I are in our mid 60s and we never had children so how to I negate the family setting? On the Microsoft account page they list my birthdate as September 9th,
2013.

Hi All

help needed.

I have set up child accounts for the kids as we are going on holiday and wont have internet access.

I put £25 on the eldests account so that she can download some films and tv shows to download onto her tablet.

Every time she wants to buy something it says You need Parental Approval for this.

I removed the restrictions (temporarily) and it STILL asks for parental approval.

If I click the 'allow' option on my laptop when I get the message it takes me directly to MY account where I have to purchase the content.

AM I doing something wrong or cant kids purchase kids rated video content from the store?

Google Chrome asking for Parental Permissions when accessing

Hi,



Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I understand that you are facing issues when using Google Chrome on your PC as it keeps asking for permission from parent.



Ideally, you get this error if you were previously added into Family Group as a Child account and then Google Chrome was restricted from being used.



Let’s try a couple of troubleshooting steps and see if that helps in fixing the issue.



Method 1:



Try re-installing Google Chrome on your PC. Refer the below articles to re-install Google Chrome on your PC.

• Uninstall Google Chrome
  
• Download & install Google Chrome
  

Method 2:



Create a new user account and then login with the same Microsoft Account and see if you face the same issue. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below to convert Microsoft Account to Local Account.

1. Press Windows + S to open Search
   
2. Now type Your account info
   
3. Click on Sign in with a local account instead
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
   

Once you move to a local account create a new user account and sign in with your Microsoft Account and then see if you receive the same error. Refer the article
