    partition "D" not showing up

    Dear Sir,
kindly I'm looking for your kind support to solve the below issue, my issue is when i start to apply the automatic updates for win-10 the system ask to restart, i select restart now, then after restarting i faced that partition "D" -which include all my critical data- not showing up in file explorer nor disk management, Only "C" partition is shown. keep in mind i have totally 2 partitions C & D only andmy hard disk is special type which means it is divided to two storage types as followsSolid state hard disk for "C" partition and the remaining storage is the normal one.
My device info as detailed below:
    Operating System: Win-10 Pro, x64

    OS build: 18363.720

I'm tried to update the driver, also through disk management tried to check the letter for the missing partition, but nothing.

So I'm in a hurry to get your feedback.

    Thanks.

    :)

  2. Help! Data partition not showing under my computer

This is happening on a windows 2000 server. Our second partition of the system, for data is not showing under my computer. Here are the properties of it in disk management:

Now under logical drives its listed as F and shows free space available.

Suggestions on how to fix this?

  3. D drive

    Hi,

Based on the details you have provided us, it appears that there might be some corrupted contents on the said partition. We can also consider that this is caused by a virus.

For us to check if a certain virus is hiding your files, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Type Command prompt in the search bar.
    • Type-in the following command:

      attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
    • Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

    • Click on the File Explorer.
    • Select This PC.
    • Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
    • Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

Let us know how it goes so that we can further assist you.

    partition "D" not showing up

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
