Windows 10: Password changed but not working on desk top

    Password changed but not working on desk top


    I changed my password and it was updated successfully but it's still not working when I try to sign in on my lap computer. I just bought a new printer and all I want to do was just headed up and I can't even sign into my computer.

    Desk top will not accept password

    When I power up my desk top, the first screen is a notice that it is time to change my password, but it will not accept my current password as being correct. How do I overcome this problem?

    Can not set up cortana on my desk top

    I can not set up Cortana on work desk top it keeps asking for an old password, when I haven't changed the password there is no old one. I set up windows 10 & Cortana on my laptop with no issues at all what's the problem on the desk top?

    Windows Mobile Device Center on Desk Top

    Since you already tried the compatibility settings and other troubleshooting steps, we suggest that you uninstall the newest update to isolate the issue. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • On the Search bar, type in Programs and Features and select the top most result.
    • On the left menu, select View installed updates.
    • Right click on the newest update and click Uninstall.

    Monitor the Windows Mobile Device Center and see if there are any changes. If possible, try to reinstall the update and see if the Windows Mobile Device Center will still work.

    Kindly get back to us with the results.
