  1. Password cursor keeps flashing on sign in , and won't let me type any text?

Hi there, I have a problem with signing in to X Box to install MSFS 2020. When I install all ten discs and the last disc comes to the microsoft store and X Box app, the cursor just keeps flashing and it won't let me type any text. If I open the XBox app and try to sign in, the same thing happens. But if I try to sign in to my Microsoft account without MSFS it lets me do it without a problem.I'm signed in at present.I'm running windows 10 Pro, version 21H2. This is so frustrating, can you help please?unt without MSFS it lets me do it without a problem.I'm signed in at present.I'm running window

    :)

    Changing sign-in password clue

Thanks James. The system allowed me to change my security questions without changing my password, but not to change my password hint without changing my password, but it did easily allow me to change my password to the same password and then select a new hint. The reason I was reticent about changing my password is that the sign-in screen gives me this option after having mis-typed my password, but when I click on it I get the message "This feature requires removable media such as a USB flash drive. Please connect a USB flash drive and then try again."

  3. password sign in

    Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Click on Sign in options.
    • On the right side, you will see required sign in.
    • Change it to Never.

Let us know how it goes.

  4. Password cursor keeps flashing on sign in , and won't let me type any text?

Cursor moves but I cannot type!

    Hi,

Are you able to enter using the On-screen keyboard? If you haven't tried yet, follow the below steps and check.

    • When you're on login screen, click on Ease of Access
at bottom right and select On-Screen Keyboard from the list.
    • Then use you cursor to type the password with
      On-Screen Keyboard.
    • Before clicking the login, press the eye symbol
(I.e. Reveal Password) option in the password field, to see the password is correct.

Keep us posted with the status of the issue to continue assisting you further.

    Thank you.
