Windows 10: Password does not work after a windows update

After a windows update a few days ago, ive been unable to log into my computer since it for some reason belives I am putting the wrong password/Pin.


I put the right pin and it tells me “Something went wrong and your pin isnt available. Click to set up your pin again.” I try setting the pin up and it says “The User Profile Service service failed the sign in. User profile cannot be loaded”.

Whenever i put my password it tells me its incorrect and to reset it. I changed it twice through my phone and it still doesnt work.


ive tried start up repair, system restores, and uninstall updates but they all fail at some point.

ive tried safe mode and safe mode with networking but my password still doesnt work, even my old ones.

I have even tried resetting my pc multiple times, but every time it fails to complete the reset and it cancles the entire thing.


I am lost on what to do now

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile
