Windows 10: Password expired on start up

I have never had a password on my startup window. On miley hpnv, today, when I turned my laptop on, it said my password has expired and to create a new one. But my password for my microsoft is not working.How can I log in??

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

Cannot renew password expired

Here is link to blog, whre powershell script is listed to change (even expired) password to connect to RDP. Maybe it'll work for joining domain too:
