    Password Expired Windows 10 Pro


    I receive a message in Notifications that my password has expired. No indication of what password. Windows 10 Pro with all latest updates installed.

    Dell Inspiron 7786 64-bit, Notebook

    Version: 2004

    OS Build: 19041.388

    Any help appreciated.

    Password issue

    After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

    As a first step can you check what it shows under "Password never expires" in Local Users and Groups as shown in Option One Step 5 as displayed in this tutorial ?

    Enable or Disable Password Expiration for Local Accounts in Windows 10 | Tutorials

    If the Option "Password Never Expires" is already checked and you still got the message reminder, maybe someone more knowledgeable may be able to help.
