  1. Password for J.Doe

So, I have a new Surface Pro and now want to trade in my old one - so I reset it to remove all my files/info.Trouble is when I took it for trade in the retailer turned it on to verify it worked etc and it shows a user of J.Doe and requests a password -I have tried every password I have ever used and it's none of them.I went into my Microsoft account on my new surface and reset my Microsoft password - this new password wont work on old Surface.I've turned old Surface off and on again and retried everything - but I eventually get 'The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be log

    :)

  2. Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???
