Windows 10: Password for Windows 10

For several months I have been off my Dell Laptop which I use at work due to some changes made by my employer for security purposes. I'm stuck at home due to Hurricane Florence and decided to try to load company's new program so I can do some work at home. When I booted up, it asked for my password, but the password I used previously is now not recognized. I checked some forums and tried to reset computer back to factory settings, but got an error message saying it was not possible. Can someone help me get into my windows and bypass password? I don't know why it is not recognizing-I have not changed it and it is not recognizing.
