Windows 10: Password incorrect loop

So, my laptop has started forcing itself into a state of telling me my password had been entered incorrectly. I logged in fine the last time i used it, but now it wont let me in and gives me a message saying "the sign in option is disabled due to failed attempts or repeated shutdowns... wait two hours and try again..." but even after waiting multiple hours and trying again, entering the password correctly, it continues to show this message. I have restarte the laptop to try and fix it but i cant get into the laptop to fix the issue. Any suggestions?

The Password is Incorrect

I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

How do I get out of safe mode so I can reset my settings?

1. Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
3. In the window, click on Boot tab.
4. uncheck Safe boot, click on Apply and Ok. Restart

Not sure why it started in Safe mode. May have been out of sync with your phone from prev incorrect password. See if restart fixes. At least, you know what your universal MS password is. *Wink
