Currently Windows has three possible states when idling:

    • Screensaver
    • Lock Screen
    • Sign-in Interface

Obviously each state can be invoked from a previous state by a keyboard stroke or the mouse being moved unless your prefs alter this of course.

However, having to invoke the sign-in interface is clunky and outdated. I suggest the Lock Screen should already be anticipating a sign-in and have the appropriate UI in a stealth mode of sorts. That way, when you begin to type in your password/PIN, the keystrokes immediately bring up the sign-in UI out of stealth, the lock screen blurs—and most importantly—your keystrokes have already been registered. Basically eliminating the need for extra inputs just to bring up something that is inherently required to sign-in anyway.

The functionality doesn't require any other change, only that it's already waiting and simply invisible/stealthed until user input is invoked. No need to hit ENTER or do anything else. Just start typing in your PW/PIN. Everything else from the that point can remain the same.

    :)

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
