Windows 10: Password invalid after any first login

One of our users, just one, got this issue:After logoff on a laptop this user cannot log in again on said same device. Error message: wrong username/password .Deleting the user profile in %users% from the device allows the user to log in once more.The userprofile is available through OneDrive. When the userprofile is freshly downloaded onto the laptop the login works. But on logoff something appears to go wrong with the locally stored profile. Yet the error is not synched to OneDrive, as the user can use a difference laptop, but not on a laptop where already a userprofile has been downloaded.W

I keep getting an invalid password on login. How do I change my password?

 

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.
