Windows 10: Password Lost

Windows10 update was just completed and my system re-booted. Upon trying to boot up, the MS logo was on my screen and the circle of death. After a few seconds, the screen went blank. After re-starting, I was able to access the various recovery tools. Unfortunately, all of the tools require an admin password. I have tried every password that I might have used originally set. But my system does not recognize any of the passwords. If I can't input a password, I can't uninstall the update or perform a recovery. Question: Is the password something I would have used for MS online or is it specific to this Dell computer? Is there some way to override the password? How can I get the computer re-started?
