Windows 10: Password managing when installing new computer for customer who is using active directory.

Hello,this is my first question in here i hope my question is readable So yeah when we install new computers for customers we literally ask for their password most of the time they have only for work passwords but still this feels so wrong and unprofessional to do. Ive been giving an option that i reset that password for the moment i install theirs stuff to the computer and configure everything ready for them. Is there any way i could skip this step and use customers active directory accounts with temporary singon key or someting? So i wouldnt need to bother customer anymore with question li

Active Directory Computers list

Hello,

I am trying to add an organizational unit to the active directory I created on my windows server 2016. However, I realize that there is no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain
(Server Manager > Tools > AD Users and Computer > domain > Computers). I did set up ADDS, DNS and DHCP through server manager. Changed the Network settings, changed the system name. Every possible thing has been tried, but I fail to understand why there is
no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain. The Domain name and the full computer name (Name.DomainName.com) does show up in the system properties. Please help me out.

 

ACTIVE DIRECTORY, suggestion

Hello, I would say about Active directory. To make work easier for System Administrator I want to suggest that new person when get job, the HR from his computer and in HR application about this person data. And will work synchronized with Active Directory,
automatic added on Active directory this person, with its department place, with intranet or local networks folders, and initial login and password, AND TIME how much the person or employee must work it will be connected with time release password.

Active Directory - check if a computer name is already taken

When I configure a PC, one of the first steps is to assign a name to the device. I can only choose a name who belongs in "Active Directory Users and Computers". Before assigning a name, however, I need to figure out if that name is already taken by another device. To do this:

• I open PowerShell and ping a name; if something reply to the ping, that means that the name is already taken;
  
• I use a software named Advanced IP Scanner to examine the corporate's intranet to determine which names are already taken;
  
• I use an asset management tool to see which names are already taken.
  

Despite these checks, sometimes I assign a name already taken.

I cannot simply delete a computer name and recreate it, because our Active Directory is managed my a provider.

I need to figure out if there is a more reliable method to check which computer names are free to be assigned. Maybe a script on PowerShell, something like this I mean.
