    Password prompts


    When I am in the password settings for Gmail, and I want to view passwords for websites that have been stored, windows always prompts me for my windows login and password before I can view the passwords for the websites. How can I disable that feature? I am using windows 10 on a laptop.

    OK, Password problem...Mint

    Reset forgotten/lost main user password in Linux Mint - Linux Mint Community
    You can reset your password following the next steps:

    • Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
    • Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
    • Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
    • Press e for edit.
    • Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
    • Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
    • Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
    • Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
    • Type in passwd yourusername
    • Set your new password.
    • Restart your system.

    Password prompt isn't appearing

    Hi,

    We'll need to gather a bit more information to better identify why the password prompt is not appearing on your laptop. Kindly answer the following:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Did you notice any changes on the computer prior to this concern?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the log in screen? Make sure that you remove all personal information.
