Windows 10: Password Protect my phone link

I've been using Phone Link and couldn't find a way to set a password or temporarily lock the link. Additionally, I couldn't locate an option for a startup password. I'm curious if these security features are available or if there are plans to include them.

I have checked in the link above and my phone is listed as in protection.

I have all the step done with my SIM plugged in and network connected.

I am not sure if it is an Insider build, how can I check it?

 

How can I open a password protected word doc in windows phone 8?

That link is for Windows Phone 7 devices.



Unfortunately it is not possible to open password protected Office documents on the phone. I'm not sure why it was omitted but I certainly would expect it to be a feature added in upcoming updates (at least I hope so).

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you referring to BIOS password as Boot password?
  
• Is it a login password which you are referring when Windows starts?

If Login password, provided you are using Local Account on Windows 10 you may follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command
  
• Type " control userpasswords2 "
• Select the account and uncheck "user must login with password"
• Select apply and Ok.

If Boot password you may have to contact your computer manufacturer.
