Windows 10: Password reset on account that doesn't require a password to sign in.

We set up 2 accounts. One is password protected our login and one that is not password protected user login. When we set up the accounts, we make sure the "Password Never Expires" option is selected for each account. As we auto login and start running programs as soon as they PC starts. Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10


Without the questions, there would be no way to verify if it's you when resetting the password on the sign-in screen, so they just made it a requirement.

It's basically the local account's version of the Microsoft account's two-step verification.

However, if you don't use a password for the local account, you won't have any questions.

 

Upgrade to windows 10. Current password doesn t work

Current password doesn t work incorrect. Reset password requirs some usb stick which is not in my posession. Any ideas ? Try to access microsoft account but non of my email adress is recognised so cannot try this option.
