Windows 10: Password

Hello all,


So I just reinstalled windows because my laptop had a weird bug and it is running great now except it isn't prompting me for a password when I am signing in. The only options it gives me is Face ID or PIN but not a password. When I went into the settings to look I found that it wasn't even listed as an option. I wasn't sure if that was the place it should be so I turned on my desktop also running windows 10 and went to the sign in options and it was listed. So idk if I am just blind or what but can someone help me out. Here is what I am seeing.

admin password?

You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile
