Windows 10: Password

Back a year or tow ago, I was constantly get pop or from MS wanting me to convert to pin instead of the longer password. I finally gave in and did it. I though one less password to remember. Then a few months later something networking wanted my password, of course I typed in my pin and of course it did not work. Several programs want the password that I switch over to use pin instead of the pin. I have three computer and can't use certain things cause I need the old password.


Your upgrade to pin should have said, "Keep your old password because you will still need it".

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile
