Windows 10: Passwords on Microsoft MSN..when logging on to MAC it dont function

Password issue. I change password on MSN email account on samsung phone. When loggin in to Mac it dont function.

Strange 'additions' to password on MSN (cant log in)

When i go to log into MSN messenger i enter my password and for some strange reason an extra character (asterisk) is added without my consent- cannot open MSN because of this.

Also, when i access Hotmail account thru. browser i can access my account when i click to 'open new messages' it returns me to the 'log in' page.....

AVG is used and updated daily...... current version.

Also when i open IE it opens to the 'Apache Tom Cat' page...

How to setup an APP Password? MS instructions dont match web pages?

You can repeat these steps to create an app password for as many apps or devices as you need.

1. Go to the Security basics page and sign in to your Microsoft account.
2. Select More security options.
3. Under App passwords, select Create a new app password. A new app password is generated and appears on your screen.
4. Enter this app password where you would enter your normal Microsoft account password in the application.

Note: Once you have created and entered an app password for a given app or device, you usually won't need to do it again.

But I get this

MSN page doesnt automatically log me in.

When signing into Windows 10 I use my MSN/Microsoft password. Previously this brought up my MSN page and automatically logged me in. Recently I have to again log into MSN using the same log in and password that W10 required. Why do I have to log in twice?
