  1. Past failed software install now gives recurring Pop up warning everytimme computer starts

After a failed software install, I now get a recurring Pop UPOut-of-Box Experience warning every time my computer starts. The update didn’t complete properly, and now this pop-up appears on every boot.I've attached a screenshot of the warning. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I’ve tried restarting, but the message keeps coming back. Any advice on fixing this issue would be appreciated!Screenshot — https://screenrec.com/share/9oTG2cJiPLSystem Info:Windows version:11Thanks in advance for any help!

Low battery fails to give warning before putting computer to sleep

    Hi Donald,

It could be that the drivers for the battery may be outdated, corrupted, or damaged, or that the battery is failing. For us to assist you properly about Windows 10 failing to give a warning when the laptop is in low battery state, kindly respond to the questions
    below:

    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Aside from updating to version 1709, are there any other changes made to the device?
    • What power option is currently configured on your laptop? Have you tried setting it back to default?
    • If the device is plugged in, is the battery charging?

We look forward to your response.

  4. Past failed software install now gives recurring Pop up warning everytimme computer starts

My computer repeatedly starts to install updates, then says it failed and undoes all the changes

    Hello Suzanne,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft Community and we regret for the inconvenience.

First, I suggest you to check if it is any particular Windows update which fails to install after Windows restarts.

To do so, you need to check the settings through Windows update. Follow the below steps.

    1. Open the Settings Charm with the shortcut Windows Key

    2. Click/tap Change PC settings.

    3. Click on the Update and recovery and click on the
    View your update history
    .

    4. You will now see a list of your installed Windows Updates.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to follow these steps to run the Windows inbuilt troubleshooter and check if it is able to identify or even fix any issue:

    • Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
    • Click on Troubleshooting tab.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
    • Select the Windows Update option from the list.
    • Click Next to run theTroubleshooter.

Next, try to place the computer in a Clean Boot state and check if there are any third party application/software to be causing the issue.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Disclaimer: Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

Also, verify that you have disabled/uninstalled any other third party real-time antimalware products that were installed on your PC, to check if any how incoming/outgoing connections to the PC are affected by the firewall.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily
disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done.

Write to us with the updated status and the required information for us to be able to assist you further.

    Thank You.
