Windows 10: paste path on tabbed explorer not working on W11 23H2

Hello,scenario: open new tab ex. C:\xampp\htdocs\website1 open new tab ex. C:\xampp\htdocs\website2in second tab, paste C:\xampp\htdocs\website3 , pressing enter not working still stays on C:\xampp\htdocs\website2on new explorer window, pasting works. On tabs , it does not. Please provide hotfix.

A problem with the Windows 11 23H2 update.

Hi, I just had a couple of doubts...

1. With the steps given which W11 update will it give? Is it going to give the 22H2 or 23H2?
2. Currently for some reason I'm not able to get any updates for W11. Are they giving W11 22H2 or 23H2? Cause with 22H2 I had no issues. 23H2 had issues when upgrading from windows 10.

 

Event Log local policy settings not working properly in W11 23H2, security log filing up.

We're in the process of setting up our W11 deployment process and one of the options we're looking at is deploying W11 as an upgrade to W10 through SCCM. However, we've come across an odd issue as part of our testing.

For fully up-to-date W11 23H2 deployments (either as W10 22H2 upgraded to W11 23H2, or as a fresh W11 23H2 deployment), the Event Log setting for overwriting events when full does not match up with what is defined in local group policy. Thus, the security log fills up and prevents users logging in. For older W11 22H2 deployments that are then upgraded to W11 23H2 through Windows Update, it does match up and no issues are experienced.

The Local Group Policy Setting is:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Event Log Service > <event log> > Control Event Log behaviour when the log file reaches its maximum size.

These are set to "Not configured" by default on all our systems.

In the description, it says that "If you disable or do not configure this policy setting [...] new events overwrite old events." But the Event Log Properties is set to "Do not overwrite events" for the W11 23H2 deployments.

If we change the settings to "Disabled", the policy setting works as expected.

Our W11 22H2 policy settings are exactly the same, but when do not configure is set (as per default), the Event Log Properties show "Overwrite events as needed."

The obvious work-around is to create group policy to apply the Disabled settings, but this isn't a proper fix. There's an older thread about this issue on W11 22H2:

And there's a fix in a KB for W11 22H2. The fix came out just before 23H2 was released, so could it be that the fix didn't make it into the 23H2 media or subsequent KBs and so is only on devices that have been W11 22H2 at some point?

How to display the entire path uncrippled in explorer window in title bar in W11/22h2?

W11/22h2 has a new stupid feature to cripple the title bar of the window in small fragments in order to have unuseful tabs ... with the result that the space of a single tab is quite short – with the side effect that you don't see the entire path anymore (that must start with the drive letter and end at the last subdirectory name). How stupid is that??? How to ALWAYS show the entire path in the title bar of a window (and not in the tab)???
