Windows 10: Pasted screenshot is scaled up

Has anybody else who uses a 4K-monitor a problem with unwanted scaling of copied screenshots? If I take a screenshot either with just PrtScn-button or a screenshot-utility in Windows or Chrome, the image get scaled up when I paste it into Outlook or various Adobe-programs. I do some webdesign and have to work on exact pixel-measurements. Testing in Adobe Illustrator, I need to scale the image down again not 50%, but 52% to get an exact same dimensions. I have an additional second HD-monitor, but turning this off doesn't help.


Is the clipboard-function stuck in a HD-world? Anybody with the same problems who has found a solution?


I run Win 10 Enterprise, version 1809.

custom scaling documents for printing in windows 10.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

• How you trying to scale the documents?
• Which application you are using for scaling the documents.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

1. Press control key + p.

2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

3. Click apply.

4. Now click on print.

Please try the above suggestions and let us know the status of the issue.

 

Windows 10 Creator's update - Every time I undock, scaling goes to 150%

We appreciate that you have checked your drivers and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since the issue is still the same, this can be related to the new customer scaling settings that came with the Creator's Update. Can you follow the steps below
so we can check it for you:

• Click on Start then Settings.
• Choose System then Display.
• Under Display, select Custom scaling and set it to 100%.

Lock vs Login screen screenshot

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
