Windows 10: Patch Tuesday (4/11/2017) Updates

I got some new updates today. One said something about the Technical Preview. Below is the screenshot of what it says. I am a member of the Insider Preview but haven't downloaded it in a while to any of my computers.

If someone could tell me why this update says this, then that will be greatly appreciated.

Also, if I am in the Preview, how do I get out of it?

When is November's Patch Tuesday please? Win10 (I'm confused by an overnight Flash Update KB4051613)

Yes, it is true that Flash update was not released on last month Patch Tuesday, it was shipped later(which is possible because MS promises cumulative updates only on Patch Tuesday)

This month's patch Tuesday would be on as usual 2nd Tuesday of the month which is 14th Nov 2017.

I am expecting a long list of fixes with it.

 

Epson LX-300-II is not working after Windows 10 update

Windows update -> update history -> uninstall updates -> uninstall KB4048954.

Let's hope MS fixes this problem as soon as possible.

Technical Preview was the beginning which morphed into Insider Preview, I wouldn't be concerned. Sometimes Microsoft is lagging/lax in name changes being updated for the current versions such as File Explorer was named Windows Explorer in Win7 and earlier, maybe back to Win95 [1995] In Win3.xx/WFW the file management was called File Manager and the initial GUI interface that opened was called Program Manager. Based on all that it's easy to see how shortcutting names of things can also add to the confusion. Same for the Versions of Win10, much longer than with Win7 as in the complete name of Windows 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.xxx. The version/build in the link you give is the Insider Preview, mine are Version 1705 Build 16170.1000.

 

So I am not really in the Insider Preview or Technical Preview, correct? I am just in the official version of the Creators Update that has been released to the public, correct?

 

Press Windows key + R and type winver, press enter. More info right-click Start, click System. These features have been around for awhile and it pays to view them now and then to keep up with what is going on. As of a few hours I've had nothing Official offered about Creators Update.

 

We all got that. It was the Malicious Software Removal Tool, and MS were too lazy to rename it in time for 'Patch Tuesday'. It's not the first time they got its name wrong, one month last year they forgot to change the 'month' in both the Tool's title and its KB article.
