Windows 10: Path for My docs folder after one drive install

Ok So I installed OneDrive on a computer and see the Old path to my doc folder used to be "C:\Users\Name\Documents" but now it all goes to "C:\Users\Name\OneDrive\Documents" and that’s all fine BUT I have a couple applications that think the default location still is "C:\Users\Name\Documents" So How to I tell my system the Default for now for the path should be "C:\Users\Name\OneDrive\Documents" ??? IS there a registry place that holds the default location??

what exactly do you need to decipher about that path line? also, what are you installing? perhaps i can help.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

Misplaced My Docs folder of pictures.


Upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 yesterday [free update]. Checked my Docs containing my phot folders. Last one being Plant Pathology. Folder is missing. It's taken me months building this folder.
In the Start area, I recognized one of the missing pics, displayed as a tile. Did something that removed the tile and listed, 'photos' in the margin. Clicking on this, the screen opens up showing my lost pictures but in reverse order. Also a vast number of other pictures that are saved in My Docs, but individual folders.

HELP PLEASE. Can I take whatever steps to restore my folders to My Doc's and at the same time prevent windows from ever again making collections.
