    Hey,

    My PC was working fine yesterday night as it installed the latest update.

    This morning however I cannot access anything anymore. As soon as it boots I don't see the login screen but go directly to a black screen where I can move my cursor.

    I've been googling around for 2h and trying various tricks, to no avail: - Can't access task manager with any of the shortcuts. - Tried various power off / rebootings, nothing. - Rebooted in recovery mode, restored to a previous point 24h ago, nothing. - Uninstalled latest quality update, nothing - Uninstalled latest feature update: something wrong happens the update cannot be uninstalled. - Boot into safe mode: same black screen and cursor

    I'm honestly starting to get really frustrated here, no idea what to do anymore. I am quite inexperienced with troubleshooting and fixing PC, so I would welcome any help.

    Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

    Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

    They, also, have some other options there, too.
    Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

    Hi, I am prajwal , my PC is facing a problem.when I installed drivers in my PC, after that screen had become black with cursor , I could not able to do anything, I can't see task manager too.So I want to format my PC.But I want to back up all my stuffs.What and how I should do plz suggest me.

    So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
