    My system and bottle necking

    I want to upgrade from this p.o.s. 8600GT, but I am concerned with bottle necking if I get a real fast gpu. What would you guys recommend for my processor type?

    Where's the Bottle Neck ?

    Would welcome advice on what may be the bottle neck on my dated PC ? ie Is there any one component I should replace to get another year out of it ?

    The GPU is clearly high on the list - is it worth upgrading to anther AGP card or starting from scratch and moving to PCI express?

    I've O/C but the old thing becomes unstable after pushing beyond 3.2GHz.

    Where's the Bottle Neck ?

    Core 2 Duo is sure fast but the topic is to find the bottle neck.
    I will say the 9700 is going to be a bottle neck for games.
    Get a X800 or X850 if u are not planning to spend much.
    Although the X1950 Pro looks sexy.*Toast :toast:
