Windows 10: PC broke after Inventor freezes

I was using auto desk inventor for some school work, where out of nowhere it freezes. I tried alt f4 to quit the program to no avail, so I restarted the pc. When I logged in, the audio wasn’t working at all despite me checking if it was plugged in properly. Also, my network connection was bugged, where it said it was not operational. I tried a network reset, but it didn’t change anything. I need help quick, I still need to do stuff, and I can’t do it without internet connection.

Inventor 2010 compatabilty with Windows 10

Hi,

I've encountered the same error when trying to run Inventor 2009 on Windows 8.1, and after a lot of research this is what I managed to find out.

Since the introduction of Windows 8.1 a component in Inventor versions before 2011 causes that error.

Autodesk released fixes in versions 2011 through 2014, but earlier versions won't work with newer Windows.

Fiddling with Appinit_DLLs as suggested on other forums won't help, as well.

Forcing an install of 32 bit inventor on 64 bit windows works, but it is achieved through a paid third party utility and it might lead to configuration problems that can make Inventor run far from smoothly. My main issue was the lack of vault/content center
support.

The only other alternative would be to run inventor inside a VM, but the emulated 3D graphics will probably make the experience less than pleasant.

Rendering Farm possibility for Inventor 2011 - Help please...

inventor 2011 should have a list of supported queue managers somewhere.

edit: also, a render farm of 2 computers is almost pointless.

Autodesk Inventor 2011 unable to start correctly(0xc0000142) after installing WIN10. I have tried running the Trouble shoot compatibility also.

Please suggest.
