  1. Pc can't recognize speaker conectet to 3,5mm jack

My speaker that i use for my pc just stopped working. My speaker is connected though 3,5mm jack and it only makes popping noises, it won't play anything. I checked my drivers, i tried switching to another speaker, i tried different connectors, i checked if everything is connected perfectly but nothing worked. When I try to connect my speaker I'll only get notification saying "usb device not recognized". I thought that there's something wrong with my speaker or with my cable but after switching cables and speakers nothing happened. This problem occurred after i added a second graphics card to m

  2. Headphones recognized as speakers when connected via Jack 3.5mm cable (Windows 11)

I am experiencing an issue with my PC where it recognizes my Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones as speakers, leading to a decline in sound quality. Below is a detailed description of the problem and the steps I have already taken to resolve it.

    System Specifications:

    Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B760M-K

    Operating System: Windows 11

    Headphones: Sennheiser Momentum 4

    Problem Description:

When I connect my Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones to the 3.5mm jack port on the back of my PC, they are recognized as "Speakers" in Windows sound settings. This issue results in a degraded sound quality compared to when they are correctly recognized as headphones.

    Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

    1.- Driver Reinstallation:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek audio drivers from the ASUS website to ensure I have the latest version compatible with my motherboard and Windows 11.

    2.- Realtek Audio Console Settings:

Accessed the Realtek Audio Console and enabled the option "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously."

    3.- Different Headphones and Cables:

I have tried using different headphones and different jack cables, but they were all recognized as speakers.

In some cases, when I plug in the jack cable alone, even without the headphones attached, it is recognized as speakers.

Despite these actions, the issue persists, and the headphones continue to be recognized as speakers.

    Objective:

My primary objective is to have my Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones correctly recognized as headphones by my PC to ensure the best possible sound quality. I am not looking for workarounds to improve sound quality while they are recognized as speakers but rather a permanent solution to the recognition issue.

Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this matter. I look forward to your guidance on the best steps to take to fix this issue.

    Best regards,

    David
