Windows 10: PC constantly freezing then crashing sometimes instantly after boot. Also getting BSOD often.

So, when I bought the pc, I was having BSOD constantly. I could barely boot up before getting BSOD so I took it to a shop where the guy said it was bad RAM and got it replaced and he also did a "windows reload". When I got it back it was fine, wasn't getting BSOD until I tried gaming, I couldn't get a game to open without freezing and crashing the PC No BSOD. After that I tried underclocking the CPU and that did work for about and an hour While gaming before it started crashing and giving BSOD. I tried a lot of things but a couple hours later I was getting a BSOD loop, so I reset the PC cl

In my experience, video cards usually don't BSOD when they crash, either the driver crashes and recovers, or your game freezes. PSU's tend to shut off the machine instantly when going bad... Bad drives will either crawl the system, or you will not be able to boot if a system file got corrupted - but they usually won't BSOD.

Unstable ram with BSOD 99% of the time (unless its so unstable that the computer just reboots), Lightly unstable processors will BSOD (again, if you are really unstable then you will power cycle and reboot)... Mobo's going bad...

And finally - software, drivers etc etc. are you always doing the exact same thing when it BSODs? if so - it could be software - but if they are random then chances are hardware. Again - as said before - never assume, you will save time if you step through the usual suspects first.

 

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

laptop constantly crashing - bsods, freezing, flickering screen

Hi,

for the past 3 days my laptop (dell vostro) has been crashing constantly. appearantly mainly while web browsing (but not only), anytime between 10 seconds and an hour. These crashes happen in a few formats - freezing; flickering screen +shutdown/restart;
bsod with random messages (kmode exception not handled, system service exception, page fault in non paged area, maybe more that i missed).

I haven't installed any software recently, I've tried updating windows, disabling nvidia driver, checked for driver updates, cancelled fast boot, run hardware diagnostics.

please help!
