Windows 10: Pc crash during virus scan

Pc was behaving oddly, applications not opening, task manager not opening, however browser still fully functional. Was not under any amount of stress. I tried restart, and it stalls on the restart screen until i hold the power button down. After restart, I decide to run a virus check and it suddenly crashed/restarted about a minute in. If not, suggests deeper problems. To which uninstall option are you referring? (A picture is worth...)

Yes that's exactly what I have. If you notice there is an uninstall option next to organize if you scroll to other updates ie. office, but it will disappear once you scroll to the latest updates.

 

Failing hardware? Undetected virus?

It really sounds like a virus running hidden in the background!
Though you've scanned the pc for viruses it's difficult that the antivirus installed finds anything...as the virus has already passed unobserved by the antivirus app.

My suggestion is to put some executable antivirus and antispyware appz. in your flash disk and scan the pc from that.
Use different ones, portable antiviruses etc....here are some suggestions:
