Windows 10: PC crashed, now I have lag and audio distortions SOLVED lol

My Laptop crashed now I have lag and when I play audio theres distortions.EDIT: I just needed to restart my computer, I didn't think restarting it would actually work.

Mouse Lag & Sound Distortion

After several days since last boot, I start to notice mouse lag, almost like a stutter (Logitech M510 wireless mouse). Also, system sounds are increasingly distorted; e.g. when starting a reboot with an open application, I get the Windows chime that accompanies the warning message. That chime is quite distorted. The reboot, however, clears the mouse lag problem and if I reboot again right away, the message chime is clear.
Any clues? It's not a major issue since a reboot solves it but I'm curious if there's a setting somewhere that's the culprit

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.

audio distortion on Icon

My Icon has distorted audio when voice mails are played and phone is on speaker. Volume is 20/30. Any suggestions?
