Windows 10: PC crashes after launching games or modelling programs

My PC has been crashing intermittently recently after launching games or other programs that induce more stress on the critical components. The exact sequence of the crash is: screen darkens while I can still hear processes running games, music, etc, fans and RGB lighting in the case spin up and become brighter/change from the lighting I had set, and then the audio from whatever programs I was running stutters until it restarts. Occasionally, it will restart in a decreased resolution and I will be unable to change it back to native resolution without using a restore point. Temperatures whene

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
