    PC crashes, BSOD while trying to play certain games


    Ever since I built my first PC, I had trouble playing certain games ig: Destiny 2, Apex Legends. I've spent hours trying to figure out what's causing my computer to BSOD when loading into those games.

    All drivers/software are up to date and computer is working fine. The only time my PC will crash is when I start up and run those 2 games I mentioned above.

    Please share the information requested below:

    • Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
    • Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

    I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

    BSOD when playing certain games

    I get BSOD's when playing certain games; Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Civilization VI, and Witcher 3. However, I don't get BSOD's when playing Crysis 3, or Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. The driver that's causing it is Hal.dll. My PSU is new, and I ran the windows memory test and it reported no errors. I'm at a loss. Crash file is attached.

    Hi,

    I'm having this issue whereby when I'm playing certain games, Windows will BSOD after a certain period of time. My most recent one was while playing Halo Reach. Not even like 10 minutes in, the game crashed then I couldn't exit out of the game (ALT+F4 didn't
    work and calling task manager was useless since I couldn't bring it up as main) then it just BSOD with the following (retrieved it from Windows Reliability Monitor):
