Windows 10: PC crashes, cmos reset, boot failure, what have you

Hello, I'm looking for help for... one or more issues...Now I have a PC that can do 3 things: enter the BIOS, or boot Windows 10 and then crash before login, or open up Windows Recovery Options. I have yet to look further into these options as they might be useful.Here some specs:Intel Core i7-9700kGIGABYTE Z390 Aorus Pro WiFiWD Black SN750 NVMe M.2 SSDWD Black 2TB HDDMSI Radeon RX Vega 56 Air Boost 8G2× HyperX Predator 8GBWhat happened:01. This month my PC crashed a lot like 10~12 times when gaming, so I ordered a new GPU arrives next week and restrained myself from playing GPU intensive

PC Won't Boot Up, Even After Resetting CMOS Jumper

Hi.

So, here's the entire situation.

-Attempted to Update Windows 10 (Windows 10 Fall Creators Update)

-System crashed during the update, but restarted

-Shut down PC for the night

-PC turns on, but nothing happens (Monitor says "No Signal")

-Open up the PC, removed the Memory temporarily, reset CMOS Jumper

-BIOS Reset, able to boot up the PC

-Attempted (possibly foolishly) to update my Windows 10 again

-Another crash

-Shut Down PC (again, probably foolishly, tho, I did backup my PC)

-Same issue, PC starts up, but doesn't boot

-However, this times, previous solutions don't work

-Temporarily removing Memory doesn't work

-Resetting CMOS Jumper doesn't work

-Removing CMOS battery doesn't work

Is there anything else I can do? Could I simply reinstall Windows 10 (the PC originally had Windows 7, and was given the free update to Windows 10)?

old p4 system - have to reset cmos every boot. ???

this happens though even if I just hit the reset button again after boot up, or if I go into setup and restart, even if I turn pc off as soon as I see the initial award bios logo at boot.

I literally have to clear cmos everytime I restart the pc. *Bang Head :banghead:

 

CMOS Reset (502) + No Wifi Options + No Battery Charge

I have an HP Envy x360 Convertible running Windows 11 version 21H2 with the following issues:

• Boots to blue screen"CMOS Reset (502) The CMOS checksum is invalid" and then proceeds to normal OS except:
  
• Network & Internet will not detect any wifi network (though there are several available) Device manager shows intel(r) wifi-6 ax200 = This device cannot start (Code 10). Rollback Driver in device management is no longer an available option.
  
• Power detects the charger while connected but unit immediately loses power once disconnected.
  

Troubleshooting steps completed:

• Multiple hardware diagnostic tests with no indication of issue
  
• Rollback for drivers (doing this would allow an internet connection but power issues persisted)
  
• Complete factory reset & OS reinstall (locally, without USB)
  

What are my next steps to avoid unnecessary cost and/or further trial & error:

• Restore to new OS from USB?
  
• Go somewhere for more thorough hardware diagnostic?
