    So I'm on Windows 11 and this problem has been ongoing for a while now. I found a workaround in that if I run a youtube channel that constantly plays Like Lofi Girl, it doesn't happen, but I am unfortunately vulnerable to youtube outages or stutters, such as happened today which I didn't notice due to it being a background thing.Once the crash happens, the PC usually quickly restarts - though there have been times where it got stuck - and everything loads right back up. I did finally catch a DMP file, but I have no idea what it all means. I did find this bit in the event, I don't know if it

    Troubleshooting help: YouTube videos won't play on Windows 10 PC

    I just got a new Windows 10 PC & I'm finding that it won't play YouTube videos. Specifically YouTube. In the video area the loading indicator circles indefinitely and I see this message...

    Additional info & steps I've tried...

    • Netflix plays flawlessly
    • Other Macs, PCs, iOS & Android devices on the same network play YouTube videos no problem
    • I restarted the machine
    • Restarted the cable modem
    • The machine can do other Internet stuff fine -- browse websites, email, etc.
    • I cleared the browser cache & browsing data
    • I tried a different browser (I tried Chrome & MS Edge)
    • I looked under "Windows Defender Security Center > App & browser control" but I don't see anything there about blocking videos.
    • Turned off ad blocker
    • Tried connecting via Ethernet and wi-fi
    • No peripherals connected to the machine

    System info

    Gigabyte Aero 15x
    Windows 10 Pro

    Version 1803

    Installed on 8/14/2018

    OS build 17134.228

    Any help, advice, or further troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Can't get Youtube to show videos in Chrome

    I haven't gotteen to this suggestion yet - but, I've shut down half my Extensions and, now, I get the voice of the Youtube videos - but still not the video. Thought this clue might help.

    Load this checklist video in Edge: (I'm assuming you did at least a few of these steps, since you stated you tried other suggestions earlier) Go through the list of suggestions here to try to repair YouTube for Chrome...
