Windows 10: PC crashes when entering sleep

The computer screen goes black, but everything continues running ie fans and RGB all going steady, then suddenly the computer shuts off completely. No BSOD, only some DMP files showed up recently.Prior to this I recently updated my bios and graphics card drivers. The problem started after that. I updated the bios and GPU drivers because I was having an issue where screen would go black and GPU fans would go to max forcing a forced shutdown. That problem hasn't happened in a long time 1 month, but a week or two later this problem started up. Since then I've updated chip set using the AMD ap

PC crashes when it enters sleep

Hi! My PC keeps crashing when it tries to enter sleep mode. It'll try to sleep but ultimately shuts off. I have updated bios and GPU. If there are any documents I need to attach, please let me know. Thank you!

 

Sleep

Hi,

This may happen due to its power plan. A power plan is a collection of hardware and system settings that manages how computers use and conserve power. For this, we suggest that you reset and restore power plans to its default. kindly follow these steps:

• Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
  Enter:
  • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
settings is set to Never.

It sounds like your PC doesn't enter into sleep or lock screen after a predetermined time. Sorry to hear this.

1. While system sleep and monitor sleep are two different things, it is possible that an app blocking your system from sleeping is also blocking your monitor from going to sleep. To find out which app is blocking sleep, follow this step.
   
   • Open Command Prompt with admin rights.
     
   • Run this command: powercfg /requests.
     
   • The list of apps that the command returns are blocking the system from sleeping.
     
2. Remove all external devices.
   
3. Restore your system to a system restore point if you've created before when your system works well.
