Windows 10: PC crashes with BSOD errors like special_pool_detected_memory_corruption and...

As the title said, PC irregularly crashes with Blue screen errors. After following this wiki -

I ran driver verifier and the PC crashed as expected with "driver_verifier_detected_violation; phantomtap.sys". Link to last Memory dump files -

I did run Bluescreenview and it lists ntoskrnl.exe as the cause of three crashes that happened before running the verifier:

I want to know if I should disable verifier now or keep it running.


Furthermore, the device manager doesn't check for updates when clicked on automatically check the internet for updates. The window immediately says that I have the best drivers installed pretty similar to this query : https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/133482-device-manager-update-driver-issue.html . I checked both solutions -[Advanced System Settings -> Hardware -> Device Installation Settings -> Automatically download which is marked 'Yes' ] and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching is also set at 1]. Not sure what the issue is here. I recently deleted Intel Driver and Support Assistant, could that be the issue?

Multiple Blue Screen Errors (SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION & MEMORY_MANAGEMENT & SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED)

Hello, I'll be using my PC just fine and then randomly it will crash and give me a blue screen. I have tried to use the details in the dump files to see if it is a hardware issue, but it does not list any specific parts of my PC. I have reset and wiped my
PC entirely as well. I'm not too tech savvy but I try my best to follow the instructions. The following are the errors I have gotten within the past week:

• MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
• SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION
• SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
• Error code: 0xc000000e
• Stop code: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE
• Stop code: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and then What failed: Ntfs.sys

PC reboots (no BSOD) on CPU stress

Hi fellow TPU members,

not too long ago, the box my gf's PC was transported in gave way on the stairs. Yes, you got it right, that sent a PC tumbling down a flight of steps alright.

Stuff broke. Also, stuff remained intact somehow.

I bought her a new case, new CPU cooler and we removed the floppy drive, so far so good. But the PC started crashing for no apparent reason, without a BSOD.

I tested:

• Memtest86+, left overnight, 0 errors
• Scanned the HDD for errors, nothing there
• Left FurMark burning up the GFX card and drawing some power, no problems there
• Ran Ubuntu from a Live CD doing nothing special, didn't crash
• Ran OCCT, Linpack, Prime95, all 3 caused reboots within minutes
• Oh, and I disabled "Restart on error" so I'm sure it's not a BSOD.

Now, I can still try and test something CPU intensive on Ubuntu, but my guess is the CPU didn't survive.
Before I do anything drastic like whippin' out the magic wallet and get her a new AMD quad, is there anything I didn't see?
I'm guessing the motherboard could be borkered as well, but can I check that other than replacing the CPU with a working one?
Any suggestions on which proggies I can use from an Ubuntu Live CD to stress the CPU?

 

Everything crashes after Fall Creators Update

After installing the new update, everything started crashing. Apps, browser tabs, and Windows is throwing BSOD's.

Latest BSOD's error was MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

I have tried:

• Resetting Windows
• Tried the "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" command
• Tried the "sfc /scannow" command

After enabling Driver Verifier, I was able to boot up Windows and play around for a while, but at some point I got a BSOD with error SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION. Not sure if it's related.
