    PC Crashing for the Past Month


    My PC has been crashing for the last month due to the following error code: 0x00000116.When I play Valorant, my whole PC suddenly freezes. The audio starts lagging, both monitors go black, and then my PC restarts. It should be noted that this problem occurs both in Windows 10 and Windows 11.I checked the minidump file and identified these three sources of the problem: dxgkrnl.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, and nvlddmkm.sys. This issue only occurs while playing Valorant, and it has become such a significant problem for me that I’ve tried everything I can to fix it.Here are the steps I’ve already taken:Rein

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    I installed the December driver (problems started happening in January). So far so good:

    Best thermal paste

    Most decent thermal paste is about all the same (1-2 degree difference). Without knowing the two listed, (I use MX-2), I would suggest going with the one that is non-conductive.
