    Hi,

Just wondered if anyone ould help me?

My PC keeps crashing mainly on startup, once up and running it is generally fine.

I ran WhoCrashed and got the following:

On Sun 07/02/2021 07:37:34 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
This was probably caused by the following module: fltmgr.sys FLTMGR!FltPerformSynchronousIo+0x740
    Bugcheck code: 0x7E 0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8060EEF3CC9, 0xFFFFFB078D964088, 0xFFFFFB078D9638C0
    Error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\fltmgr.sys
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a system thread generated an exception that the error handler did not catch.
The crash took place in a file system driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK.

On Tue 02/02/2021 17:03:30 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\020321-40078-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe nt+0x3F5780
    Bugcheck code: 0xA0 0x10E, 0xA, 0x6294, 0xD852
    Error: INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the power policy manager experienced a fatal error.
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might also be caused because of overheating thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating thermal issue or because of a buggy driver. This problem might also be caused because of overheating thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

    crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\012821-55828-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: wdfilter.sys 0xFFFFF8066B2D3555

This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.

10 Crashing Randomly and During Updates and File Downloads

This is a re-post from here.

I have a Windows 10 PC that I run 24/7. I have Windows Updates disabled through the Group Policy Editor. I still perform updates manually every few days. Windows Defender updates work fine. Other Windows updates cause the PC to crash, no BSOD or anything, it just turns off. I've looked for 1074, 6006, and 6008 event log files to explain why and I haven't been able to find anything.

Other times the computer just randomly crashes and also sometimes when downloading files. The symptom is the same, I check on it and find it powered down or it just shuts off while I'm using it. It boots back up fine and I see no cause listed in the event logs.

I have been through the 3 tests suggested to me on the old thread. SMART looked good, memtest ran for 33 hours for 8 passes with no errors, and prime was run for 3 hours with no errors.

I think the next step was to run V2 Log collector, that data is attached.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris
