My PC specs are:Windows 11 Homei7-10700f32GB DDR4RTX 3070850W 80+ Gold currentlyBIOS is on latest updateIt is an ASUS Prebuilt.I've had this PC for a good few years and it's been a gem. Out of nowhere the PSU died and I had to replace it. I used to constantly switch my Power Plan after the PSU swap from "High Performance" to "Power Saver" to try and decrease power draw to elongate the life of it. Ever since the PSU swap, I've been having issues with my PC randomly shutting off. It used to be every few months, then monthly, and then it went to hourly. It was working entirely fine for a good 6

I've had this PC for a good few years and it's been a gem. It was working entirely fine for a good 6-ish months, with extremely rare crashes, but then I was playing Counter-Strike 2 and was getting some PC crashes. No blue screen, just immediate power off with all lights off then it would reboot like nothing happened. I still trudged through and continued playing even after the reboots but it was kind of annoying and I ended up stopping playing it.

I got a UPS for only my PC because I thought it was just bad power because I run a mini fridge near the same outlet. The UPS hasn't really helped any. Whenever my PC was idle, it would just shut off and it made it so just browsing the web was impossible. After doing some digging, I found that turning off C-state in the bios actually fixed it from crashing when idle.

Mostly every game I play I don't have many issues with crashing. PUBG, Rocket League, Cyberpunk 2077, Project Zomboid, and some VR titles like Pavlov, Ghosts of Tabor, Boneworks, Bonelab, and Contractors run very well and I've really only seen maybe 2-3 crashes where the PC reboots in VR titles. The thing is, it always happens in loading screens. I've consistently found a way to crash my PC and I can do it via Battlefield 2042. It loads up the game fine and goes into the menu, but when I try and load into an actual game, my PC crashes maybe 50% of time during the loading screen. 50% of those crashes, the screen goes black and the PC after a few seconds reboots like nothing happened. The other 50% of the crashes my PC screen stays on as well as all lights but it's stuck on a single frame and I have to hold down the power button on my PC. If I do make it into the game, it will eventually crash the PC randomly in game but sometimes it's during explosions and stuff. Some of these crashes have a blue screen but it immediately goes away. I've since resetted my PC and I'm assuming these blue screen logs are gone. They go away so fast it was hard to read but I think one said critical error? Probably not helpful.

Also, since the incident where my PC was crashing on Idle, I haven't touched the power plan at all and just left it on High Performance. I decided to try and switch power plans to see what would happen, and it crashes. Switching to Power Saver crashes my PC and it makes it reboot. Luckily, after it rebooted I could switch it back to high performance.

    Things I've tried:

    Turning off XMP
    cfs /scannow
    mdsched.exe
    chkdsk /f C:
Re-seating all power connections from the PSU into the motherboard
    Re-seating ram
    Resetting Windows 11
Having all monitors except my main unplugged
Unplugging all USB devices except mouse and keyboard and running games
Being up to date on Windows Update with my chipset drivers, and GPU drivers.

There's probably more but I've been troubleshooting over these past few months.

My only assumption is that it's my motherboard. After the faulty PSU sending power through it, it might've bunged something up with improper voltage being sent to the CPU. It's acting like how an unstable OC acts.

I'm not sure how to send Event Viewer logs, and/or if they contain personal information. I can send a couple of the logs from it. Any other information that is needed I will gladly give.

    EDIT
Because of Black Friday, I went and ordered new PC parts, including a new Motherboard and CPU. If no fix has been found by then, I will see if I have the same problem with these new parts. I'm extremely hoping that it will be resolved with the new parts. Would still greatly enjoy help either way though since I will have to live with this for a few more weeks.

Games crash when pc is in balance prefomance mode In power plans but run when the power plan is set to power saving why?

If games do not crash on the power saving plan and your games are performing as expected, then use that power plan.

    PC Randomly Crashing

Hi, It may be several reasons behind the computer crashing randomly like a driver issue, operating system issue, excess heat up, hardware miss configuration and insufficient RAM. As you said you have stable power so track
one of these reasons which is a perfect cause behind the random system crashes. You can check manually and will able to fix it. But before I will suggest you take backup of your system. It may be possible for data loss situation. Thanks
